As A Web Server...

Although the ability to "publish and to collect information over the web" does constitute the definition of a web server, a good web server, like EnterFrame, does more...a lot more.

EnterFrame provides features that enable webmasters to easily create and maintain dynamic web sites, these features include:

• Virtual Hosting: Using the virtual host specification of HTTP 1.1, EnterFrame can simultaneously host up to 1000 different domains. EnterFrame also has multi homing capabilities using WindowsNT in the Wintel environment, or Open Transport 1.5 (yet to be released from Apple) on the Macintosh.
  
  
• Internal Forms Processing: HTML forms can easily be imported into EnterFrame. Once imported, EnterFrame will automatically create a database structure, and will record the data received from the form submissions. This data can then be viewed online, automatically be e-mailed to a specified address, and can be exported for integration into other databases.

  • Match: EnterFrame can correct a users input, and provide feed-back to the answers that matched a given criteria, while eliminating non-matching answers.
    
    
  • Calculations: Calculations (addition, subtraction,multiplication, and division) can be applied to fields of a form and provide immediate feed-back to the user.
  
  
  
• Client Side Cookies: A "cookie" is a text file that is written to the hard disk of a user (the person viewing your site) by the web server.
  
  
• Server Side Cookies: Using the hidden field types, HTML programmers can carry through a limited number of user-responses across a number of pages to the final page where the form is processed. This is useful for tracking a users progress across your site.
  
  
• Server Side Includes: The current date, time and number of hits that your site has received can all be easily displayed on your web pages without the use of CGI's (Common Gateway Interfaces). Enterframes "SSI commands" are placed directly into your HTML documents using normal HTML formats. EnterFrame also supports "days to" and "days from" for any specified day.
  
  
• Server Side Conditionals: EnterFrame can process conditionals (if, then, else) based on the information provided by the users browser. With these conditionals you can configure EnterFrame to load/provide different information to the user based on the date, time, users IP address, referring page, browser type, etc. For example, you can configure EnterFrame to display different page sets dependent on the capabilities of the users browser. If the browser does not support frames EnterFrame will display your non-frames version of your site.
  
  
• Built-in HTTP Redirection: EnterFrame provides automatic redirection. This can be used to change the location of a page, or to track information about users being referred from links on your pages to other sites.
  
  
• Remote Administration: Editing HTML, uploading images, viewing logs and viewing forms data can all be done remotely via EnterFrames "hostadmin" using Netscape Navigator 2.2 or higher as the client. Each domain on the EnterFrame server is protected with a unique password, assuring site security.
  
  
  • Editing HTML: Users can update html documents or add new pages to their web suite from anywhere in the world. Changes are instantaneous, so users can make adjustments and additions and then immediately preview the change. EnterFrame is the only Web Server with online page editing capabilities.
    
    
  • Image Uploading: Using the 'file-selection' function of HTML 3.0 forms, EnterFrame enables users to add images to their web server using only Netscape Navigator ; special ftp software is not needed. By default, images are placed in the domains root directory (http://www.yourdomain.com/newimage.gif). You can also choose a specific folder that you would like to put it in (http://www.yourdomain.com/Images/newimage.gif) Create a new folder if necessary (http://www.yourdomain.com/Images/NewFolder/newimage.gif).
    
    
  • View Logs: See how many hits you've had this week, find out what page is referring viewer to your site most often, see what IP addresses the people who view your site have; do this all online via the hostadmin.
    
    
  • View Forms Data: View the results of your online survey in hostadmin. Do it from home, or from the Caribbean.

As An E-mail Server

Integrated into EnterFrame is a POP 3 and SMTP E-mail server with Browser-based access to mail. This innovative feature allows users to access their password protected mail from any computer equipped with web access. Mail is accessed without being permanently downloaded to the users machine, it is also faster and more efficient than standard POP Mail.




As An Intranet Server

EnterFrame is a full featured intranet server, with both private (internal) and public pages, notes pages, communication groups, inter-office memo's, leads and contact management, call logs, workgroup project management, personal home pages, personal schedules along with dozens of additional features coming online every day.

• Workgroups: Workgroups are the heart of the EnterFrame Intranet Server. It is the Workgroups that enable your people to discuss, demonstrate and pulblish their ideas in real-time. Workgroups consist of pre-specified users; you can assign all your users to a particular Workgroup or just a few of them. These users, though the use of EnterFrame dialogs (see below), can post information that is only accessible by the users assigned to that Workgroup.
  
  
• Dialogs: Information is posted to Workgroups via Dialogs. Dialogs can contain text, images, hot-links, sound files, HTML and Java. Each dialog shows the time, date and by whom it was posted. Dialogs are searchable by 'Subject contains', 'Body contains' and 'Submitted by'; enabling you to quickly and easily find the information that you are looking for.
  
  
• User Management: Adding new users, or modifying current user information, can easily be done via EnterFrames browser accessible 'hostadmin'. Change the users password, assign them to additional Workgroups; whatever you need to do, it can all be done online.
  
  
• Customizable Interface: EnterFrames interface is completely editable. You can change the screen elements (background image, font colors, text size, fields sizes, buttons, etc.) to reflect your corporate image, or the current season, if you wish. Add some character by placing your company logo and custom graphics into your intranet pages.
